Kavita Kaushik began her career in the entertainment industry by participating in auditions for the television show "Kutumb" in 2001. She then moved to Mumbai and joined Ekta Kapoor's popular show "Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii," where she portrayed the character of Manya Doshi. She went on to appear in various television shows like "Kohi Apna Sa," "Kammal," "Kahani Terrii Merrii," and "Piya Ka Ghar."

In 2006, Kavita Kaushik gained widespread recognition and popularity for her role as Chandramukhi Chautala in the sitcom "F.I.R." on SAB TV. Her portrayal of a brave female cop with a Haryanavi accent earned her critical acclaim and several awards. The show completed 1000 episodes and became a long-running success.
