Rekha made her acting debut as a child artist in the Telugu film "Rangula Ratnam" in 1966. She then transitioned into Hindi cinema and gained recognition for her performances in films like "Sawan Bhadon" (1970) and "Namak Haraam" (1973). However, it was her role in "Ghar" (1978) that brought her critical acclaim and established her as a leading actress in Bollywood.
