Faezeh Jalali is a talented Indian-Iranian artist with a diverse range of skills and interests. Born in 1980 as a fourth-generation Iranian, she was raised in Mumbai within an Iranian Muslim family. After completing her schooling at JB Petit High School, she pursued higher education at Beloit College in Wisconsin, USA, where she studied theatre arts and also took pre-medical background classes.
Faezeh's passion for theatre led her to obtain a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Tennessee and Clarence Brown Theatre at Knoxville. Throughout her career, she has showcased her acting prowess in various stage productions, including notable performances in Mira Nair's stage musical "Monsoon Wedding," "I Don't Like It, As You Like It," and "Jatinga," among others.
In addition to her acting career, Faezeh Jalali has made her mark as a director, writer, and producer. She directed her own plays, such as "07/07/07" and "Shikhandi - The Story of the In-betweens," which earned her recognition and accolades, including the Best Ensemble Cast at the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards (META).
Her talents extend to the film industry, where she has appeared in movies like "Slumdog Millionaire," "Kurbaan," and was part of the Indian action-thriller television series "24."
